A Family business with decades of experience in metal recycling
Hohenwalt Recycling is a family business with experience in recycling ferrous and non-ferrous materials since the early 80’s. Soon after its founding it appeared that, in addition to the activities as an aluminium smelter, the market needed an innovative, reliable service provider able to upgrade the various material flows to a quality and/or density that allows for easier trading. During the course of the years, the smelter was discontinued and Hohenwalt Recycling, as a service provider, fully concentrated solely on metal recycling. Hohenwalt Recycling does not trade in metals themselves, thus guaranteeing that your material flows are treated neutrally and discretely, at all times. You therefore need not to worry that we start seeking business with your suppliers directly.
Innovation and growth led by the new generation
The company takeover by the Hohenwalt brothers Erwin and Carlos from Hohenwalt Senior involved a large-scale expansion of both production and storage capacity. Today we boast spacious (approx. 15,000 m2) storage/work grounds of which approx. 4.000 m2 under roof. We use modern, state-of-the-art recycling machines and storage and transfer equipment with low emission values for maximum protection of (y)our environment. Hohenwalt does of course hold all necessary permits and we are ISO 9001 certified since 2022. Our customer portfolio consists of large, solvent companies throughout Europe.
